08 02 2004 - Round 4 of BMA Ice Racing

The vigorous winter training regimen continues for TEAM SHOULDER CHECK.  In motorcycle racing, there is no off-season.  The Christmas holidays' strict regimen of overeating and movie watching has been ramped up with recent ice racing ventures on TEAM SHOULDER CHECK's fleet of pristine 1990 CB125s.

This past weekend, TEAM SHOULDER CHECK's Pat Boyd and Alan Burns were on hand for heat race laps at Woody's Cycle in Perth, Ontario.  After dialling in some different suspension settings and trying out some new tires from Chen Sing, Alan and Pat both felt comfortable on the bikes.  "We're finally burning off the old gas from last winter," exclaims Pat.  "This bike is strong and with two new spark plugs I expect to get about 8.5 hp on the dyno."

Alan Burns elaborates, "I can't feel my hands."
