15 02 2004 - Boyd Wins! Boyd Wins! Boyd Wins!

Team Shoulder Check now has its first winner of the season. After spending many late nights working on his 1991 CB 125 ice racer, Team Shoulder Check #48 Pat Boyd finally saw his hard work pay off.

For the second week in a row Team Shoulder Check made the voyage to Woody's in Perth Ontario for round 5 of the BMA's ice racing series. Alan Burns, John Dunlop and Pat Boyd were out to hone their skills in the -15C weather. They were joined by a few instructors from the Ottawa Safety Council.

After a botched start in the first race, Pat secured a first place finish in the "D" class of the BMA ice racing series. It appeared as if Pat was toying with the competition, as it was clear that no one else had the power to keep up him.

"It was fun being out front, but very unfamiliar" said Pat Boyd after the race was completed
